Welcome to the Amiga Software Wiki!

World's Greatest Computer!

The prime goal of this wiki is to provide information about pre-OS4/pre-PPC software and hardware. With the scarcity of OS4 hardware and software, I have chosen to focus primarily on software that runs of Amiga systems that are abundant worldwide.

While it's nice to see OS4 and hardware like the Pegasos and AmigaOne, I simply do not believe these platforms will develop nearly as much prominence as the Classic Amiga hardware has over the past two decades. As some have abandoned the classic Amiga systems for newer PowerPC setups, many more still use their A600s and A4000s for many productive tasks, such as internet browsing, web site construction, multimedia layout for newspapers and magazines, etc. Amiga OS 4 has many problems: Amiga's constant litigation, development of an operating system that only runs on a limited number of scarcely available (and highly priced) computer systems, inability to run certain legacy titles, etc.

Bottom line: Classic hardware and software still has a place in the computer world and I believe programming efforts should be aimed towards the classic machines. I am a 100% supporter of the Minimig, and I feel this set of hardware is the "future" of the Amiga platform.

The majority of the pages here will feature software titles available as freeware, shareware or public domain. Also, each page will provide a download link for each title in either the LhA format or as a virtual ADF image. Both formats can easily be utilized with either a real Amiga, the Minimig or the UAE.
